Fergus worked as a Service Dog until his retirement in 2003. He currently enjoys a second career as a canine model. Look for reruns of Fergus's episode of Dogs with Jobs Season 5 on the National Geographic Channel. Fergus has also appeared in numerous magazines, newspapers, and ads.
